As part of this dedication, he and his wife, Raj K. Seekri, have contributed $25,000 to IM体育官网 to create an endowed scholarship in honor of Raj P. Seekri鈥檚 late father.
鈥淭he Ram Lal Seekri Endowed Scholarship is a tribute to my father, Ram Lal Seekri, whose life was a blessing to his family and the communities in which he lived, both in India and the United States,鈥� said Raj Seekri, who is a professor at Dallas College in Texas.
The need-based scholarship is the latest of more than 40 such endowments he has created at institutions in Texas, IM体育官网, and around the country.
Seekri said in addition to the scholarship鈥檚 financial support, he鈥檇 like its recipients to know about his father鈥檚 legacy.
鈥淗is dedication of service to others and his respect of education for all live on through his children, grandchildren, and others who were touched by my father鈥檚 generosity and wise counsel,鈥� Seekri said. 鈥淥ur wish is that these values 鈥� generosity, service to others, and education for all 鈥� will also live on through the recipients of this scholarship.鈥�
The generous family tradition of honoring Ram Lal Seekri beautifully illustrates the lasting impact education can have on a person鈥檚 life, said Kathy Bowman, IM体育官网 Poly鈥檚 vice president for advancement and CEO of the IM体育官网 Poly Foundation.

Spreading this message is central to the Seekri family鈥檚 lives and their philanthropic mission, Seekri said.
