Dr. Elisabeth Kames is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at IM体育官网
Polytechnic University. Prior to this appointment, she was an instructor and doctoral
research assistant at IM体育官网 Institute of Technology where she taught a variety of
courses.
At IM体育官网 Institute of Technology, Kames was responsible for overseeing the mechanical
engineering department鈥檚 senior capstone design program. Her focus included increasing
sponsored industrial partnerships to provide students with a substantiated project
experience and innovative pedagogical methods.
Kames鈥 research focuses on the improvement of mechanical engineering design education,
including the examination of factors affecting performance and persistence in mechanical
engineering design courses.
